At McChord AFB, Mestern Meadowlarks are assumed to be nesting along the
runway. We hear and see them all summer long, though I have never found,
or for that matter, looked for proff of nesting. I would not be suprised
if they nest at Boeing field or any other runway around King County. I
have also seen and heard them in the grassy fields around the Russell Road
peapatch in Kent during the breeding season.
