Last year I had a Pacific Slope Flycatcher hold up a house
project for weeks because she just wouldn't give up on those
addled eggs..she finally abandoned the nest, which I rescued
and gave to an Elementary School teacher friend who has
a terrific environmental science project going with the
early grades...i.e., maintaining bird feeders, etc..
In any case, she sat on that nest for over a month before she
finally gave up...
