About these large pigeons.... I just today got a copy of the seasonal
newsletter from WILD BIRDS UNLIMITED and these birds were mentioned.

"Also mentioned this Spring was an influx of BAND-TAILED PIGEONS. These
large birds are a native pigeon in Washington. They nest in deciduous
trees 6 to 30 feet off the ground."
