Equally, I did the two blocks in NE Grant Co. Not bad if you love Horned
Larks. Also some of the healthiest wheat I have seen in some time. However,
the tiny blocks of sage left here and there were amazing. At one site we
had five species of sparrows all singing at once. At another site I got out
to water the sage, so to speak, and flushed a sage thrasher off its nest.
The birds are there, you just have to work harder.
