Dennis,

We found a great place to watch cormorants on some pilings in Port
Townsend. The pilings are a few blocks to the side of the ferry (if
you're leaving the Keystone Ferry, the pilings are a few blocks to the
left). There is a super convenient parking spot in a gravel loop at
piling-height; it was extremely comfortable to view from the car--good
views with naked eye and fantastic with 'nocs. Maybe someone who lives in
or around Port Townsend could say whether this is a common roosting place
or a "roost of opportunity." :)
