Hi Tweeters and Chatters,

I just got word of a probable trip to Anchorage, AK, for the second
half of August. This will be a business trip for my wife and a
birding expedition for me. I'm soliciting information on birdfinding
books and your special birding sites within a day's rental car drive
of Anchorage, since that will be the base of operations for the two
weeks, and also recommendations on a good place to hit for the
middle-of-the-trip weekend for both of us (she's a birder, too). Will
I need another field guide beside the NGS and Peterson? How about a
field guide to mosquitoes? Any hints or information will be greatly
appreciated. Thanks!
