I too had a good day (evening) at Spencer Island. The place was just
about deserted--seems like a basketball game of some sorts was going on.
My own highlites were a flying bittern, cinnamon teals, a female wood duck
floating with her young (what a marvelous 'strut' she had), a mature and
immature osprey, and my very first male yellow-headed blackbird.
Altogether a great Friday evening.
