Dear bird watchers,
It's the end of this school year, but we will be back next year with new
young birder's journals. My favorite bird is by far the osprey because of
its neat ability to swoop down a grab a fish from the ocean.
We did the first preformance of the Shakespeare play and there was about
100 people there to watch. Hope you have a fun time birding. See you next
year.
Sincerely,
Philip Baum

Dear Tweeters,
Hi I'm Dema Shevelenko.
My favorite bird this year was the Belted Kingfisher,
I like that bird because it is a predator and small, quite a package.
The Shakespeare play was performed yesterday, I played the part
Philostrate in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
My favorite line is:
"Hard-handed men that work in Athens here,
Which never labored in their minds till now;
And now have toiled their unexcercised memories
With the same play, for your Nuptial."
Act 5 scene 1

Hope everyone has a nice summer and sees new birds:
Be well, do good work, and keep in touch.
Sincerely, Dema Shevelenko

Dear Tweeters,
My name is Bo Dupar. My favorite bird is an Osprey. My favorite bird that I
have seen this year is the Osprey on the coast trying to catch it's prey.
The reason why I like Ospreys so much is because I know more about them
than any other bird. My favorite line in the Shakespeare play " A Midsummer
Night's Dream" is " Lord what fools these mortals be."
I hope all of you have a fun time birding over the year.

Sincerely, Bo Dupar

Dear Tweeters,
I'm gonna miss you and my classmate. My favorite is the peregrine falcon.
Our Shakespeare play was yesterday. My favorite line is "Like to Lysander
sometime from thy toungue then stir Demetrius with bitter wrong and
sometime rail thou like Demetrius."

sincerely Steve

Dear Tweeters,
I will miss you and my class a lot. My favorite bird is Violet Green
Swallow, because of its colors. I'm going to middle school in September,
I'm kind of excited. My favorite line from "A Midsummmer Night's Dream,"
is "yes, yes and here is a marvelous convenient place for our rehearsal
this green spot shall be our stage these ancient trees our backstage and we
will do it in action as we will do it before the Duke." I just wanted to
say goodbye to you and even though, I won't write to you anymore I will always
remember you. Thanks!
Sincerely Shannon

Dear Tweeters,
This entry is my last entry for this year. I enjoyed being able to use
Young Birder's Journal and being a part of tweeters. Shakespeare went by
well! We still have yet one more play to do, but I'm sure it will be a
great sucess! My favorite bird this year is the downy woodpecker that
calls from the far end of the soccer field here at school. I have never
seen this bird but I hear its calls very often. I hope to see this
woodpecker soon. Well I enjoyed writing to you and I hope to write again
next year! Bye!

Sincerely, Christina

Dear Tweeters,
After birding all this year I think my favorite bird is the red
breasted Nuthatch. Its small body and trumpet-like cry is the thing
best about it.
In Shakespeare I thought that everything went great. My favorite
line in my speech is, "We must go seek some dew drops here, And hang a
pearl in every Cowslip's ear." Next year when we do Shakespeare, I think I
want to have a longer part.
Well, thanks for reading our entries!

Sincerely,
Sachiko

Dear Tweeters,
Of all the birds I saw this year my favorite bird is the
Chickadee because I like the sound it makes and how small and cute they are.
Our Shakespeare last night(tuesday) was good. But tonight it
will most likely be better.
This will be the last entries until fall.

Signing off Jillian

Hi!! Well, this will be my last entry. I think Shakespeare is going
great! Everyone did great. No one forgot their lines or acted really
nervous. At the rehearsals, everyone said that they weren't nervous at
all. But when it was time for the real play, everyone was shaking and
saying that they were going to forget their lines.(including me). I hope
that the next play goes as well.(tonight) I think that my favorite bird
that I saw this year was the Osprey. The way it seems to look as if it is
a king, I think that was so cool.I'm also very glad that I got to be in
the first class to do Tweeters and do young birder's journal.

Sincerely yours,
Stephanie B

Dear Tweeters this is my last message, and I would like to thank you for
reading our messages and hope you read next years. After this year I
hope to see another Pileated woodpecker. Our play is going well and I
think it's great. My favorite line is "You have her father's love
Demetrius let me have Hermias, do you marry him.

Sincerely,
Tyson

Dear tweeters:
It is the end of the year so I am writing my last message.
Our first play was on Tuesday. It was a hit! My favorite birds of the
year were the two Killdeer I spotted at Lake Sammamish State Park in
early Spring. They both had rings around their
necks and were very brown. Well, I will write to you next year. BYE!

Tweeters:
My favorite bird is the red tailed hawk because I like the red
tail. I guess you already know my class and I did a shakespeare play
yesterday. Some of you came and we are doing one today. Thanks for
answering our questions.

Dear tweeter people,

My best sighting of the year. We were on a birding trip up north when we
saw a whole bunch of birds hoping around in the long dead grass. I liked
them because of the bright colors not like most birds in the N.W.

BE WELL, DO GOOD WORK AND KEEP IN TOUCH (next year)

- Chris

My favorite birds that we spotted this year were the merlins,
Falco Columbarius suckleyi. On Wednesday night we did our shakespeare
play "A Midsummer Night's Dream" for the second time. That night was the
night when I did my part Flute.
Thank you for reading the young birder's journal.

Dear Tweeters:
A hectic ending it usually is. We thouroughly enjoyed and had fun
with the two performances of "Midsummer", Shakespeare on the Green. It was a
gift from the birds as the VGSW, BASW picked flies out of the air during the
plays, the DOWP starting drumming on the usual deciduous tree, and to end
our play a PIWP yelled out its applause and sat above the large fir tree.
A very special evening it was. The energy was right and the play was the
best. We are making this hillside on the school grounds into a
performing tiered theatre for future plays and environmental studies.
I hope to use tweeters and your expertise more next year. The class
will be piloting a birding packet for kids from Cornell Lab of
Ornithology. We will upgrade our web pages with more kids in birding
news. Have a great summer everyone. See you next year,
and thanks again for your patience and information with kids and birds.
