On the main Microsoft campus there is a small man-made pond in the
courtyard of buildings 1-4. When I had an office there a few years ago,
we would watch as the crows swooped down from the roofs and plucked the
young ducklings right off the water with their beaks. The crows would
then fly back to the roof and eat them. There's a reason why they lay
so many eggs...
