Well, here it comes. The southbound shorebird migration trickled into
Vancouver BC yesterday with 12 Western Sandpipers and 12 Lesser Yellowlegs
at the Iona Island Settling Ponds in Richmond; there had been 5-6 and 1-2
there respectively for the last few weeks. All were Alt 1 birds.

Average southbound non-breeder arrival dates for Vancouver BC

Lesser Yellowlegs June 24 (juvs n.a.)
Western Sandpiper June 25 (juvs July 24)
