Yo, Tweets--

I think I may have posted this before, but in light of
this thread, here it is again..

A year or so ago, a colleague and I went to the Nisqually
Wildlife Refuge to bird early one morning. As we turned on
to the refuge, I spied a silhouette of a bird bent over
feeding in a big bush by the Refuge entrance...at first
I thought it was an accipiter--longish and thin--the
closer attention revealed it was a crow and the bins
allowed us to see it was feeding on a vole..at the time
we speculated that it must have found it..given the
examples I've been reading about crow predation, I'm
now not so sure it didn't kill it..
