We have a couple of nesting pairs of black headed grosbeaks nearby. They
visit our feeders daily. In early May we were invaded by two flocks of
evening grosbeaks for a whole week. At that time more than just two pair
of black headed grosbeaks were also visiting. It was unbelievable the
amount of seed they were devouring. I can't remember having seen so many
grosbeaks of either kind.
