Just to add to the Evening Grosbeak thread, I've lived in Maple Leaf (98th
St. nr 15th Ave. NE) in Seattle for 4 years now, and this is the first year
we've had this species at our feeders, although I've heard them flying over
from time to time. They invaded (no more than 8 at any one time seen) for
about two weeks in late May, then just as suddenly disappeared. It sure
was fun and worth every seed!
