I saw the same sort of scenario with a crow and a pheasant at the Montlake
Fill several months ago. The pheasant was out in the open, would bend down
to pick something out of the grass, and the crow would hop forward and
take a tug on one of the long tail feathers.

At the time, I assumed the crow was trying to gather a dazzling treasure
for its nest, but in the light of all these ancedotes perhaps it was
just having fun... oops, I wrote about it at the time, hope the double
posting isn't offensive.
