It wouldn't surprise me if a clever animal trainer could teach crows to
collect discarded aluminum cans in exchange for rewards. After training a
few crows, the rest of the population might catch on from them. Imagine
hoards of crows scouring the city for aluminum cans!

I don't think this is too far fetched! As a youngster, I had experience
with both Crows and Ravens as pets. They are amazing learners.
