Heya Tweets,
We went down to Lewiston so my wife could try out her new camera
(an EOS Rebel X, by the way- great camera!) and we had a blast. Geese
are piling back up in the Levee, they weren't so numerous last month.
Lots of Mallards, more Buffleheads than last month too. The robin flocks
throughout the Palouse are amazing; Lewiston has its share, too. We
probably spent a good half hour taking shots of robins. At the small
park just south of the Hwy 12 bridge to Clarkston, we found a whole bunch
of Mallards, Widgeons, etc. and one Beautiful Hooded Merganser. Last
year, we regularly spotted one in the same place-- maybe the same individual?
He's extremely approachable and likes to pose for the camera.

Didn't see any Eurasian Wigeons and no sign of the Canvasback that were
hanging out a few weeks ago.

Mann Lake isn't really active yet, but the RC airplane dudes may have
scared some of the flocks off (not to mention the HERD of fishermen!)
