Greetings Tweeters,

At Green Lake Park, in Seattle, Free bird walks are taking place every
Saturday morning from 8 to 10. This program started in January and will
continue through May. Walks start at the lifeguard chairs on the east beach
near Evans Pool. Anyone can just show up and participate. I've already got a
few people who graciously offered to help by leading some of these walks but
we sure could use some more help. Anyone interested? Pick your Saturday!
Please call or email me at the number/address below.

This program is the first educational offering by the newly formed Green Lake
Park Alliance an organization of volunteers for Green Lake Park, here in
Seattle, in closes association with the Seattle Department of Parks and
Recreation. In the future we will offer many more programs, basically like the
excellent programs you find in Discovery Park.

In a nutshell, the Alliance will deal with positive contributions by
volunteers to the park. We don't do "issues." If you wish more information
about the Alliance, email me directly and I can send you the text of our
printed flyer.

If you think you would like to help with the Saturday morning bird walks, or
have ideas for some other volunteer project at the park, contact the Alliance
or me.

Thanks for reading this.
