Our local outdoor show, out in the field banding harlequin ducks in
their nesting streams. Beautiful bird in the hand!

They string a mist net across the stream then chase them into it.
Radio mark them so they can find the nests and measure productivity,
etc. A short editing break, and weeks later we're back in the field
tracking down the hen, and, live on TV, she sits her eggs.

And again a bit later (they must've filmed this last year) a cute
little brood of four ducklings doin the rapids.

Pretty cool for a local PBS station!
