Saw this job announcement on the Seabird-L listserver, and in case =

If I didn't have this double mortgage to pay off with a steady job, I'd =

Summer field assistant needed - seabird behavioural ecology and=20
demography on Buldir Island, Aleutian Islands, Alaska

Job description: help with studies of Least, Crested, Whiskered and=20
Parakeet Auklets at Buldir: work will include locating nesting =
crevices,=20
capturing, measuring, and banding, reading leg bands, obtaining blood=20
samples, behavioural observations, etc. There will be day and night =
work.

Qualifications: Must have prior field experience and previous =
experience=20
living and working in a remote field camp is essential.

Salary: $2,500 - $2,900 U.S. for field season (end of May to end of=20
Aug.), depending on qualifications. Will cover travel from=20
Pacific Northwest (i.e. Seattle).

Starting Date: May 1996 - must be able to travel to Alaska by May 15, =
1996
