Yep, I slipped on a rock and took the plunge. But before that happened, I
had at Kirk Pond:

About an equal # of both sexes of Common Merganzers
Lesser Scaup
Greater Scaup
2 Pied-billed grebes
1 Kingfisher who sat within good camera range until I got the camera focused
pair of Redheads
1 Great Blue Herons
1 coot
3 cormorants (unable to stop for species ID)

At home I was wandering around the woods and sighted:

1 Chestnut backed-Chickadee

There was a lot of bird activity this morning - a very lively flicker
amongst them.

Yesterday morning was pretty neat. The five local crows had divided their
forces and each group was harrassing one of the red-tails. It doesn't seem
to be discouraging the hawks from staying in the area though, so I'm
watching for nesting indications.

Happy birding!
