Jon and Marty: Many thanks for the detailed posts describing the
contents of journals. Clearly these represent a hell of a lot of work;
you deserve our gratitude. The fact of the matter is that these journals
often get no attention from me when they land in my mailbox or on the
floor of my office, but I *always* read the contents on tweeters, then go
on to check individual papers in the journals. Beyond that, you have
made my Sunday by making me aware thaat the latest Wilson Bulletin has
two papers that seem to attempt to justify the presence of exotic
ungulates, i.e., Bos taurus, in previously pristine lands, by implying
that they are beneficial to native birds! Can't wait to get to my office
tomorrow!
Kidding aside, thanks for your hard work; it is appreciated.
