I just observed a Spotted Towhee (ne RSTO) on the ground flutter the tip
of one wing, move around a little and flutter the tip of the other wing.
It looked like the wing remained folded and only the outer most section
of the wing fluttered rapidly over the back. I assume this is a
courtship display and wondered if this behavior had been observed before.
