Another way to find them is to cruise areas they have been known to
frequent (St. Andrews in Douglas Co, Crab Creek, et al.) with the car
windows rolled down and listen for the calling birds. You will often hear
the large flocks long before you see them. This will also often direct you
to birds settling into larger flocks on the ground.
