Yesterday, March 12, Bob Woodley and I went to check out the reported return
of the local Ferruginous Hawks (FEHA). We did not find them at last year's
nest, so we went further up the road. We stopped and saw 2 FEHA fly at each
other, talons extended. One flew off, but we watched the second which landed
at the top of the cliff. At the top of this cliff, on the top of a
sagebrush, we watched it mate with a third bird. Quite a sight. Maybe now
they'll use that nest.
