Before this thread gets out of hand, lets make one thing perfectly clear. The
nocturnal feeding you are talking about is specific to non-breeders on salt
water. Western Grebes most certainly dive during the day time on fresh water
at all times of the year, and here on the lakes around Prince George when they
migrate through in the spring and fall.
