Dateline 17 Mar., Hansville, WA. The "usual" adult Bald Eagle was being
harrassed by crows. Surf and White-winged Scoters were plentiful. A small
contingent of Red-breasted Mergansers were lolling about. The Buffleheads
were pairing up. Plenty of Eared Grebes and some Westerns. No alcids.
One Common Loon in transitional plumage. A large flock of Brant were
feeding at Driftwood Key north of the bridge but seemed very restless,
making sorties out over the Canal from time to time. The land bird
contingent was very quiet, especially since the feeders weren't up yet.
