The male Falcated Teal was still on the mud flats off the end of Sharp Road,
about 4 km south of Tofino, B.C. (west coast of Vancouver Island) to
March 19. Turn right off Highway 4 onto Sharp Rd. at the Dolphin Motel.

Ralph Crombie, operator of the small salmon hatchery at the end of Sharp Rd.
and from whose property the bird is best seen, has been very cooperative with
visiting birders. Please check with him...he can probably help you out, and
is anxious to record the departure date of this bird.
