I agree with Tom Foote, we need to be seriously considering the impact these
birds have on our native birds. In other areas of the country some feral
psitticines have become pests because they were allowed to breed in the wild.

One comment made to me by a top birder in Washington is that these birds provide
a good diversion from starlings and house sparrows. Are some of you out there
so interested in seeing an interesting bird that you do not consider or care
what the consequences of these birds are to our natural environment?
We need to be environmentally conscious.
