I don't know that they have much impact. The feral parots in Mt. View, CA
feast on Eucaliptus flowers. Granted I'm not that familiar with what native
species might eat various parts of the Eucaliptus - especially since it's
not native - but I've never seen anything else munching the flowers.

Perhaps it's the same situation in Washington. Maybe the birds are eating
nonnative species of plants.

Just a thought.
