Your mother is obviously one of my neighbors. I have a friend who
specializes in treating sick parrots. We went throught a remarkable book
she has of parrot photos and couldn't find anything that looked like these
birds. I suspect that they are some kind of conyur. I did see a flock of
nine birds a couple of years ago; but lately it seems there are no more than
4 or 5. They're quite noisy and don't appear to be great fliers so I
presume the local Cooper's and Sharpshinned hawks will see to it that they
pose no threat to our ecosystem.
