This is Kas Dumroese with the northern Idaho / eastern Washington /
northeastern Oregon bird hotline.

Jeff Wisman reports 3 or 4 male EURASIAN WIGEONS and a possible
American Wigeon x Eurasian Wigeon hybrid on the Saltese Flats
southeast of Spokane, on March 16. Jeff also reports a SNOW GOOSE
and GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE from this locale. The flats are
southeast of Spokane and southwest of Liberty Lake. Washington
DeLorme p. 89, c/d-7.5.

Dan Svingen, Dave Holick and myself saw a flock of 50 TUNDRA SWANS
at Mann Lake just east of Lewiston, Idaho on Sunday, the 17th. Also
there was a pair of SAY'S PHOEBE. Call me at 208-883-0943 if you

Dale Goble reports VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS and a SAY'S PHOEBE in
Moscow this past week.

And finally, of interest to Palouse Auduboner's, our bluebird trail near the
The Nature Conservancy's Rose Creek Preserve is well populated again.
Tom and Diane Weber report 20 bluebirds there on the 17th, including 3
male MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRDS. Several of the nest boxes were already
filling up with grass. The nest box route is northeast of Albion -- follow
Old Albion to Four Mile Road to McIntosh to Parvin. Washington
