The BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER continues to be seen in Riverfront Park in
Roseburg. On March 26 a BARRED OWL was seen in the front yard of the house

place for a forest bird.

A PALM WARBLER was in the Coquille Valley March 23. OSPREY were reported

Several CASPIAN TERNS were at Bandon March 23. One was near Astoria March

Oak Island Road about a mile and a half from the junction with Reeder Road.
Very large numbers of SANDHILL CRANES are being seen on the Island now.

The EMPEROR GOOSE continues to be seen along the Sandy River at Lewis and
Clark State Park. On March 23 it was right at the park's boat ramp.

A LESSER YELLOWLEGS was with six GREATER YELLOWLEGS near Canby March 25. A
migrant ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER was near Wilsonville March 23. A bright
SWAINSON'S HAWK was seen March 20 flying over the I5 freeway north of
Salem.

The main ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER migration was in the Rogue Valley over the
week-end. Good numbers should be most everywhere in the next several days.

On March 23 twenty male TRICOLORED BLACKBIRDS were at their nesting site at
Bridge Creek Pond in Wheeler County.

The spring migration is picking up now with swallows, warblers, sparrows,
hawks, and waterbirds on the move.
