Hi, folks. After reading the sad tale of the failed Juan de Fuca Strait
hawkwatch, I just had to let you in on this. Our weather pattern will be
changing completely the middle of this week as a big ridge builds along the
coast. This will flip the lowlevel winds from the current northerly
(westerly through the strait) to brisk southerly by Wednesday. Temperatures
will soar toward the 20 degree C (68 F) mark over the hawkwatch area
Thursday. For all intents and purposes, this will be the unofficial start
of Spring this year. Those raptors should be on the move come Wednesday
with a nonstop stream Thursday.
