I received a call the other evening from someone who claimed to be raising
funds for Audubon. I told the caller, as I tell all phone solicitors, that
I simply do not conduct financial transactions such as that over the phone.
There are plenty of causes I'm already familiar with to which I can funnel
my contributions. Phone solicitations are an invasion of privacy, in my
opinion, and when I receive multiple calls from any organization which I am
supporting financially (through membership, etc.) I discontinue my support
and let them know why.
