I was scheduled to go to a conference in Phoenix last month, so I left early
and spent 2 days with Stuart Healy in SE Arizona. Such birding I have never
experienced before, we were out for 24 hours out of 36 and saw 162 species,
60 of them life species for me! Stuart's ability to bird by ear is amazing,
he can pick out a target bird call out of a half a dozen others and call the
bird in with an impressive success rate. We did miss the Green Kingfisher
and Red-faced Warbler, but the Elegant Trogan and all the hummingbirds made
up for that. His services as a guide were highly recommended to me, and I
