There was a Western Kingbird in Discovery Park yesterday (Sunday)
afternoon, my first for western Washington. It was in the south meadow
flying towards the large radome. Strictly speaking I should call this
Kingbird sp. since it was too far for me to determine beyond doubt that it
was not say a Cassin's or Tropical Kingbird but I think Western Kingbird
is so much more likely that it is a pretty safe assumption. I was with
other people so I couldn't go chasing after it to make sure. For the
nonlocals Discovery Park is a large park in the Magnolia neighborhood of
Seattle.
