Be specific about what you saw (color band, flag, which leg etc.). It appears
that two possibilities exist for your bird. Red over white = Panama. Red over
yellow = Mexico.

Western sandpipers are being marked with radios in San Francisoc Bay. Nine of
them have been detected at Humboldt Bay. One was last heard at SF Bay in the
morning and was recorded the next afternoon at Humboildt Bay!

Had a flagged western sandpiper at the South Jetty Sunday afternoon.
Does anybody have the key that was posted last fall or the address to
send this info to. The flag was red over gold (could've been white but
it looked gold from the distacne where we were). RK
