I had Cassin's each spring in late April and early May when I lived in
Pullmna and had feeders (the first apt. we lived in, we had a parking lot
for a yard). I also had them singing at Kamiak Butte in 1987 in June (a
younger male); those wandering around Kamiak might look for them
nesting. To all, Kamiak Butte is a wondeful place about 15 miles north
of Pullman and a must for any Palouse birding expedition or Whitman
County list twitch. Ray K
