Yesterday I reported my first ever sighting of a Wilson's Warbler in our
back yard. I had never seen ANY warblers in the back yard before Sunday.
Yesterday in the late afternoon after work, I asked our daughter if she
had seen it (no school yesterday). Yes she had, so I went out on the back
deck to see if I could spot it again. High up in a maple I caught some
movement which didn't appear to be one of our resident Chestnut-sided
Chickadees. Imagine my surprise to see a Townsend's Warbler fluttering
around! I've been checking the back yard on a regular basis for over two
years, and to see two different warblers on two successive days really
astounded me. Wonder what I might see tonight?
