Sorry, I forgot to mention that I live on the west hill of Kent, not
far from I-5, and between Des Moines and Federal Way. By the way, the
grosbeaks were back again this morning, and were joined (ever so
briefly) by a male western tanager. What a sight! Then a pair of
band-tailed pigeons landed on the feeder and sent the grosbeaks in all
directions.

I will also add my 2 cents on contacts. Unlike Scott Ray, I found my
vision improved dramatically with contacts as compared to glasses.
And like Jon Anderson, I found glasses to be just too darned annoying
on those frequent rainy days we have here. I wear soft lenses, have
been for about 12 years now, and have never regretted it.
