Thank you, Becca Knox, for your suggestion about getting high grade lenses for
ones glasses. I too use soft contacts for situations involving exercise but find
them a little blurry and hard to refocus when birding. I also find that
occasional use does not make me sufficiently proficient at inserting them and
then they end up getting used even less.
Incidentally, in my last pair of bifocal glasses, I got the kind of close vision
portion that trends into middle vision along its top edge, so it is a tri-focal
masquerading as a bifocal. Great for grocery shopping, reading library shelves,
etc.
