I've been blessed with a pair of Black-headed grosbeaks since last
Thursday evening in the area in back of my apartment (with pond and
trees). This has been an amazing spring including the male Ca. quail
and pair of Wood ducks. I have totaled up 33 species in that area
since I started birding 3 years ago.
