Teresa Michelsen - I have a nest box which was made by the Audubon
Society. It has an oblong opening which is approx. 2.5" wide by 3/4"
high. It does not have a perch. I was advised by the Society to not face
the opening West or East. The birds do not like the heat.

We screwed it to our house about 15 feet up and under the eaves. It
faces North. Two days after putting in up we had "lookers" and now we
have "builders". We are enjoying the acrobatics and look forward to eggs
and fledglings.

I would like to attract some hummingbirds. Any suggestions?
