>Despite lots of Calliope and Rufous Hummers, swallows, and many

up the >Methow. I had a single Orange- crn. Warbler on May 1, two Nashvilles
on May 3, >and two Hammond's Flycatchers on Apr.30. Hardly any ducks on
Patterson >Lake and nearby ponds; an osprey there on May 3. Most
interesting was a large >brown "bird" that swooped down to a low branch. It
was a HUGE flying squirrel! >Tawny above and cream-colored below, with a
big fat tail. A "life" mammal!
