Hello from Alaska!

I found out about this wonderful List Server just yesterday and
thought some of you might be interested in the Shorebird Sister
Schools Program. This is an interactive internet education program
that allows kids from all over the Western Hemisphere to track the
shorebirds to their nesting grounds in Alaska and the Canadian Arctic.

The Arctic nesting shorebirds are all beginning to appear in Alaska.
Some areas have already had their peak numbers pass through. Copper
River Delta had their peak last week, Kachemak Bay is in the middle of
their peak and some birds have already arrived to their nesting
grounds.

Please pass the word on to others (i.e. teachers, parents, libraries,
etc.). We plan to have the program active all year following the
shorebirds through their many seasons.
