If they have started nesting but aren't brooding you may be able to take the
eggs away and break up the nest to discourage nesting. This may or may not
be a problem for Fish & Wildlife so they might need to be contacted (it's
illegal to remove protected bird eggs).

If they are brooding you can still remove the eggs (with F&W permission) and
break up the nest. It shouldn't take many repeat nest destructions to
discourage them.

If they are near term or the college doesn't want to remove eggs and break
up the nest, they'll have to wait until the ducklings are born and then herd
the whole bunch away. I can help at that time with instructions on how to
do this.

These mallards seem to nest in the most unlikely places!
