For people on the Palouse, Evening Grosbeaks can be reliably seen at the
Good Samaritan Home in Moscow. Take D street past Mountain View and look
for a sign, the road goes to the left prior to the school. The home's
park is across the street from a more conventional park with a pond. Walk
up the paved road, when you get to the bridge, you should hear them.
Take a close look at the trees, about midway up. Marilyn McCoy said they
were drinking in the creek, too, so check there. Anyways, fantastically
beautiful birds--lifer for us.
