The information forwarded by Pat is consistent with our experience at my
Father-in-laws farm in BC. The nest boxes constructed as described are
located along a slough of the Fraser River. They have been used for several
years. The boxes were attached to trees near the edge of the water but not
directly over the water. The wood chips in the box and a method for climbing
out are especially inportant.
