Although I'm not going to stick my neck out on the identification of
this particular bird, I'd like to comment on one point in the message
pertaining to the mystery bird in Bellingham's south end. Fort Huachuca AZ
has a fairly plentiful supply of Hooded Orioles (except during the winter
months---rather high altitude), but no palm trees that I can remember. I've
seen them in the palm ornamentals in the San Diego Zoo, though.
