We went on an afternoon walk around Spencer Island Monday. We saw
Swallows, Cliff, Tree & VG, Common Yellowthroat, Cedar Waxwing, R-t Hawk
(and nest), Marsh Wren (heard), Song Sparrow and GBH and that was just on
the road between the parking lot and the bridge. In addition, on the
island we saw Barn Swallow, Am. Coot, Am. Widgeon, Am. Goldfinch, Mallard,
Blue-winged Teal, Northern Harrier (female), Killdeer, Blk-hd Grosbeak,
Swainson's Thrush, Br-hd Cowbird, Crows, R-w Blackbird Robin, Mourning
Dove, and notable (to me anyway) Eastern Kingbird. The Cedar Waxwings
were everywhere and appeared to possibly be gathering nesting material
from the cat-tails.

On the way back to the parking lot we saw, either a Franklin.s or a
Bonaparte Gull. Only got a glimpse of the dark head and couldn't note the
wing markings.
